Toshiba Thrive is first tablet optimized operating system Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz processor boosted by 1GB RAM, sporting a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with the resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel, pre-installed Swype keyboard UI, equipped with a LED flash equipped 5 megapixel camera that can record the video in HD, and an additional front-facing 2 megapixel camera, 8GB/ 16GB/ 32GB variants, micro-SD card slot for memory expansion, full sized USB 2.0 and HDMI ports, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth, support for Adobe’s Flash Player 10.2, Android Market, and the whole host of Google & Toshiba services. It also has a lock button for portrait or landscape mode.



Toshiba Thrive tablet also comes with Toshiba-branded file manager, a Resolution Plus software for cleaning and upscaling video content, as well as some third party apps pre-installed including QuickOffice and LogMeIn, a removable battery that gives up to seven hours of continuous HD video playback, and it can recharge up to 90 percent in an hour and a half, weighing at the size of 1.6 pounds, Sensors (Gyroscope, Accelerometer, e-Compass, GPS and Ambient Light) and much more.


The Toshiba Thrive tablet will be arriving in July with the reasonable price tags. The 8GB variant will cost you $429, and the 16GB variant, 32GB variants will cost $479, and $579 respectively.
